Getting Started
- Setting up your UniMail address alias
All students are
given a default email address of their student number @student.unsw.edu.au,
when your UniMail is created (eg z1234567@student.unsw.edu.au).
To change this default address to something based on your name,
follow the steps below.

To change your UniMail
address from the default address of your student ID number,
you will need to go to the UNSW Do
it Yourself services pages. You will need your UNSW username,
and UniPass to access these pages.
Requirements
for accessing the Do it yourself services pages
The DIY Services web pages are part of a secure UNSW web site.
To access these pages, you must have your UNSW Username and
UniPass.
You will also need to be using a more recent web browser like
Explorer 5.0 or higher, or Netscape 4.79 or higher. If you are
not sure if your web browser is compatible to access UNSW secure

You
must agreed to the rules before changing your UniMail Address
As a new Student at UNSW, you will not be able to access the
DIY services pages if you have not agreed to the rules first.

Changing your UniMail
address

pages to make your changes.
