UniPass is the Universal Password
for online services at UNSW. In conjuction with your UNSW Staff
ID, they provide a way of electronically verifying your identity.
The UniPass can be used to access UNSW online services such
as UniMail, UDUS, Staff Online, UniWide and the UNSW Library's
Electronic Resources.
How UniPass
works
UniPasses are a series of letters and numbers used to gain secure
access to Online Services. When you commence employment at UNSW,
your first UniPass will be randomly generated. You can change
this UniPass to something easier for you to remember.
When you commence employment at UNSW,
you will need to have your UNSW staff ID number and complete
a CU01 - Communications Access for New Staff Members form to
get a UniPass issued. You must have, and quote your UNSW staff
number to get a UniPass from the IT Service Desk.
UniPass is used as a single password
for most centrally run Online Services at UNSW, such as UniMail,
UDUS, UniWide and Staff Online. It is also used for many local
school/faculty based IT Services. However, some localised services,
run by some schools, and some library databases require their
own passwords.
